WELCOME TO PARATUS PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy Services We Offer
Direct Access Physical Therapy
No need for a order or medical referral from any other health care professional in accordance with Maryland or Delaware law. Dr. Cunningham can work with you immediately upon having symptoms to problem solve, develop a plan of care, and communicate with your medical providers how you are doing— no referral needed. If your complaints and symptoms are not of a musculoskeletal nature or you are not an appropriate candidate for physical therapy, we will guide you and/or reach out to your medical team and problem solve to get you the right care you need.
For example, say you have knee pain after a gym workout and want it looked at right away, we would be happy to schedule a preliminary consult over the phone or in person to problem solve with you and give you urgent care right away so that little problems do not become big problems.

Manual Therapy/Soft Tissue work
At Paratus, we utilize a variety of soft tissue techniques to restore movement to its fullest capacity so you can achieve a functional range of motion to support your daily needs.
Intramuscular Dry Needling
Intramuscular Trigger Points or chronic tendon injuries are common complaints of clients due to sensitive, irritable tissue that may be fatigued, overworked or injured. These painful areas can often be managed and addressed with dry needling.
Specialized Corrective Exercise
Exercise is not always one size fits all, especially when having pain, injury, or a chronic condition. Corrective exercise after an injury, surgery, or pain requires a process that appreciates your medical history, current physical state of conditioning, and goals. Paratus provides those unique corrective exercises to improve how you move in a pain free manner.
